afriwonk.com is a policy blog about Africa, dedicated to exploring policy on the contient in a way that is accesible and will not bore you to tears. Most importantly the hope is to stimulate interest and conversation in the people who these policies affect.

This is not about the politics, I will not be looking to push any particular ideology, political creed or endorse any particular politician. As an African I firmly believe that it is time we started thinking outside the box, developing policy and programs that work for us and that is what i am hoping to explore.

Who am I?

My name is Muriu, and I am a Kenyan who has had the opportunity to work and live around Africa and the world. I am an optimist about the continent, and a policy wonk. I firmly believe with some new thinking and bold action the continent can fulfill its promise to its people and take its place as a consequential member of the global community.
